ABOUT ME

These are hard to fill out. I don't think I have the writing skills to give a comprehensive description of my personality. I'll give it a shot though! I am an adventurer at heart. My current interests are skydiving and backpacking. I work 40 hours a week and go to school part time, so I don't have a lot of free time. This summer (2013) I am going to travel Europe for a few weeks by myself. I'm pretty nervous about doing it, but I think it will be life changing experience. I believe that experiences like this, the rush of skydiving, and the adventure of backpacking are the things that make life worthwhile. I have no interest in living to work, or falling victim to the belief that life is about making ends meet. I believe there is an attainable balance between adventure and the mundane things that we all have to do to get buy. Seeking that balance and experiencing new things with an open mind and open heart has allowed me to develop relationships with incredible people and given me an opportunity to cultivate life experiences that retain their value after a return home. I try and be gregarious and warm to people I encounter along this journey.

PHILOSOPHY

My life is a learning experience. It's filled with ups, downs, and plateaus. It is not a chore or a hassle.

I haven't had an opportunity to participate at this point. I am willing and excited to chaperone anyone around Raleigh. I wish I could offer a place to stay, but with my current housing situation, I don't think it would be comfortable for a guest.

I used to sleep on the floor of a homeless shelter. Now, one of my hobbies is skydiving. Is that not amazing?
