ABOUT ME
I am person that knows all too well about how travel broadens your mind. Just over two years ago I completed a Masters in Financial Economics and was all set for a career in Investment Banking. Now I'm a free-spirited and open-minded international nomad that absolutely loves and embraces life, and the amazing experiences it has to offer.
I have been a part of another profile on CS (see below in references). Jo, Dave and I travelled together across the USA and Fiji, before heading our own separate ways in Australia.
Originally I'm from Manchester (I've been away from home since April 2011)... but I currently live in Sydney, following five months working on a farm in Tasmania and three months at a Thai-Boxing camp in Phuket, Thailand.
PHILOSOPHY
Positivity is the key to living a happy and fulfilled life!!!
I look at the society in which we live and do not want to conform to the mould or path that seems pre-destined for every one of us. How do most people live their lives? School – University – Career – Marriage/Children – Mid Life Crisis – Retirement – Death (not necessarily in that order but you know what I mean). This path is set for us from when we are born and we accept that this is the right way to live. This path is preached to us as if something is waiting for us at the end, as if all our dreams will come true and we will forage the delectable fruits from the proverbial Garden of Eden. The only 'end goal' seems to be security. That a 40 year career will lead to the riches of a nice house, a car and a comfortable retirement. I’m not saying that this is the wrong way to live, of course not, as happiness is key. If this provides happiness then that’s all one should truly strive for, but I question whether individuals forsake a lot of happiness for this security and a social standing that they receive. The fact seems to be that people aim for a comfortable retirement, get there and then realise “What the f*** do I do now?”
So... I now know that I'm not interested in accumulating possessions and security. So I'm on a journey following my happiness, where will I go in the future? Will I settle? Who knows. I do have plans to teach abroad at some point, and would love to spend a few years in South America. I'm just living my life for the moment and absolutely loving it.

Music is incredibly important to me. As an avid 'EDM' follower, the best moments, days, weekends and weeks of my life are mostly, in some way, related to dance music.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
Music - Trance, Drum & Bass, Progressive House, Techno, Dubstep (English Deep, not American Noisy), House.
Books - I do still enjoy reading Financial literature, but the most important books I have read are 'Ishmael' by Daniel Quinn and 'The Four Hour Work Week' by Timothy Ferriss. Ishmael had made me look at things in a completely different way, and the 4HWW taught me that there is a different way to live your life. Shantaram is also amazing!

"So many people live within unhappy circumstances and yet will not take the initiative to change their situation because they are conditioned to a life of security, conformity and conservatism, all of which may appear to give peace of mind, but in reality nothing is more damaging to the adventurous spirit within a man than a secure future. The very basic core of a man’s living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun." Chris McCandless, Into the Wild
“Worry and regret are like rocking chairs... they give you something to do but neither gets you anywhere.”
“On your deathbed you will not regret the things you have done; you will regret the things you haven’t.”
“The miracle is not to walk on water. The miracle is to walk on the green earth, dwelling deeply into the present moment and feeling truly alive.”
“No one looks back on their life and remembers the nights they had plenty of sleep!!!”
"The greatest action is not conforming to the world's ways"
"View all problems as challenges. Look upon negativities that arise as opportunities to learn and to grow. Don't run from them, condemn yourself, or bury your burden in saintly silence. You have a problem? Great. More grist for the mill. Rejoice, dive in, and investigate."
