About Me
ABOUT ME
I was born and raised in the area around Portland, I have grown up loving all that both nature and people have to offer. I've spent many years of my childhood travelling around - in North America and abroad - with my family. I've been to nearly every American national park in the western half of the states, as well as several countries abroad.
PHILOSOPHY
Sincerity and honesty, warmth and friendliness. These are my favorite things to find in people. I don't regret experiences; good or bad, they help us to find our way. Persistence is key, once I start something, I am often reluctant to give up.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm interested in meeting travelers and showing them around this great city (even though I'm pretty new to Seattle)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far, I've only stayed with two hosts, in Bellingham and Vancouver. Both times were incredible! I do try to host people as often as my living situation permits.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a huge fan of the blues, and I like to play blues on the harmonica when I am feeling it. I like most music as long as I can somewhat understand the lyrics.
My favorite movies are the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo trilogy (the Swedish films).
I'm a big fan of the book The Road, by Cormac McCarthy.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Backpacking in the Wallowa Mountains, solo travelling through Eastern Europe for 3 months over the summer, paragliding over Lake Ohrid, Macedonia, rafting the Una river in Bosnia & Herzegovina, cycling around the rim of Crater Lake in Oregon, having my Grandmother at my college graduation.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: I can teach you a bit about playing the blues on my harmonica, and talk for hours about fermenting various things (beer, sauerkraut, pickles, etc), if you want to learn how to cook something, I can probably teach you (or we can struggle through it together). I'm not sure other than that, but if I know it, I'm more than willing to try to teach it.
Learn: I would love to learn how to dance the Charleston, other than that, anything you're good at! =)
