About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see how far I can get with little more than a few hundred euros and the kindness of strangers, and to hopefully make some friends along the way!

ABOUT ME

I'm 30 and basically I have the bug, you know the bug, the "I have to go travel now, before it's too late" bug, and I feel I have to sort it out!

PHILOSOPHY

Feel the fear and do it anyway.

Basically, use your fear to feed your courage, use it as a driving force not let it become a crippling negative, if you're afraid of failure it's only because you're passionate enough about the thing you're afraid of failing at to make it worth risking!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host from time to time, couch isn't always free but have hosted a fair few people during summer of 2013 and if it's free and you seem like a cool person me and my housemates will be happy to let you crash here.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed a bit in Europe a few years ago, hosted a few people.

Interests

Soccer, watching and playing, avid Milan fan.

Rugby, played for a long time, wasn't very good, but I loved it.

Reading, don't get enough time these days but like authors like Lewis, Bulgakov, Tolkien and the likes!

Couch surfing, my newest hobby, hoping it goes well!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Blazing saddles, Pans Labyrinth, Lord of The rings, Ferris Buellers Day Off.

Music: Mostly hiphop but like some good rock, folk and acustic stuff too!

Books: Yeah, I like books...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I dunno, I'm a boring old sod. Probably spending three months working with a group of 35 SriLankan refugees aged 16-21 in a vocational school in Tamil-Nadu in early 2015 as part of my BA in Community and Youth Work.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you share your hospitality with me I will share my personal skills with you, I can cook you a meal, teach you how to cook something for yourself, show you how to use things in your cupboard to make meals you'd never imagine! And I can maybe pass on personal life experiences to others too, and learn from their personal life experiences!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I used to be a chef so I could cook you a nice meal.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Belgium, Bolivia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Ecuador, France, Germany, India, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, Peru, Portugal, Spain, Syrian Arab Republic, United Kingdom, United States
