About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To share with travelers a small taste of Niger in a comfortable and safe environment.
ABOUT ME
**UPDATE FEB 2010: After talking it over with Ismael, we've decided it works best for us with single travelers. We've hosted groups before, but due to the location of our house, it's a bit difficult getting taxis. We will make an exception to this for Peace Corps volunteers travelling in groups** I moved to Niamey, Niger in August 2008, and really enjoy it. Unfortunately, I will be leaving Niger in June 2010. I am fortunate to have made an amazing Nigerien friend Ismael, who is my housemate. He speaks French, Arabic, English, and several of the local African languages. He's also happy to give people rides into town on his motorbike, or to help with getting a taxi. We have plenty of space and the pool is nice in the heat. We're near the Mali embassy. Smokers just need to use outdoors. -Sean
PHILOSOPHY
I hope to be able to provide people a safe, comfortable place, instead of a sterile hotel room/hostel. I'm happy to introduce you to people, as well (particularly weekdays, when our free time would be more limited).
