Overview
About Me
I do my best to be a kind person. I play bass and sing in a few bands here in our tiny town. I used to play a lot with my friend Jesse, and while touring, CouchSurfing was a wonderful help.
I live in a small house, provided by the company I work for. It's small, but I'm happy to put a couple people up for a little while. My water heater is also tiny, so short showers are the order of the day.
I'm occasionally a little shy, but I warm up quickly. I love listening, laughing, observing and discussing. I've learned through CS that I also love meeting and connecting with new people.
I bathe regularly, and use various grooming products to encourage friendly odors.
PHILOSOPHY
I accept and frequently acknowledge that life is not always logical and certainly never predictable. I'm becoming more and more outgoing and honest with "strangers"...which helps them transition to friends. I try to be as good a friend as I can be. I try to love and understand.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I tell nice/friendly people about the Couch Surfing site if they are unaware, and share my experiences with the site. I explain to them how great of an experience it is and how doing it has an incredibly positive effect on your personality and views of the world/life.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Every CouchSurfer I've stayed with has been amazing in one way or another. I love swapping stories over beers, bourbons, or waters. I always have a great time with him/her/them, even if we only hang out briefly. I look forward to hosting more surfers at our place very soon.

Music, Movies, and Books
Long, long list. Haha. Talking about it is better.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The top of AB Mountain in Skagway, Alaska.
Hiking on Laughton Glacier.
The New Hampshire coast at 4 AM during a heavy snowstorm.
Driving up the Cassiar highway in April. Snowy and gorgeous.
I did this in 2007, so I'm not sure if it's still going on. "The Vault" of the original Hard Rock Cafe in London has many pieces of musical memorabilia (Jimi Hendrix's guitar, John Lennon's glasses, Miles Davis' trumpet, etc.) in their basement. They let you touch, hold, and even play the items if you want. To get in, just eat at the HRC. They'll give you a ticket to the vault with your receipt after the meal. Take the ticket and head next door to the shop. They'll let you into the Vault.
Teach, Learn, Share
Paul Schaffer, David Letterman's band leader, wrote and produced the song "It's Raining Men" by the Weather Girls. That is my single favorite piece of musical trivia.
