About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I am an avid mountain biker, meditator, musician, and traveler who can't get enough of learning and seeing new things. I love meeting new people, hearing new perspectives, and just generally finding anywhere in the world that will inspire a sense of awe and wonder in me.
ABOUT ME
I love to play music, meet new people, hike, bike, and generally do anything outdoors or that involves a new and robust experience. I love music, I love the thrill of hiking or biking in a new place that I've never been, and I love meeting people from locations I'm just visiting for the first time and hearing their experiences/takes on what that part of the world has to offer. Basically, I'm committed to doing all that I can to have as many interesting experiences as possible. I'm funny, engaging (if I do say so myself), and gracious, and I adore the opportunities to explore the world and meet new people that couchsurfing presents.
PHILOSOPHY
Stop doing all that is making you unhappy. Dedicate more time to all that makes you feel alive, creative, and engaged. Stop watching, start doing. I realize that all of the aforementioned text sounds like a cliche, but it is an accurate description of my personal approach to life:)
Also, I love this quote from Thomas H. Huxley:
"It is better for a man to go wrong in freedom than to go right in chains."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
One of my best friends is an ambassador, and he referred me to the site after I took him on a full moon hike in the Columbia River Gorge.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music-YES!
Books-Tom Robbins, Fierce Invalids Home from Hot Climates. On the Road, Dharma Bums, anything Kerouac. Anything John Steinbeck. Zorba the Greek.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Not that amazing, but I've been to over 50 countries/have lived in vans and RVs about a year whilst traveling. Also, I write and arrange music for an 11-piece pop/folk/rock band that is on Pandora under my name if you want to check it out.
Teach, Learn, Share
Languages, music, meditation, life.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm really malleable and easy to get along with. I can offer good conversation/listening, good company (or, equally, I can make myself scarce if that's your thing-I'm flexible), a willing activity partner up for pretty much anything, and/or I could play music for you (if you'd like-I have no innate need to do so:). Me.
