CURRENT MISSION
to live life to the absolute max!
ABOUT ME
Well let's see here.
I'm from the U.S. I sail tall ships, I'm 28, and I'm heavily bitten by wanderlust. I finished working on a boat in November back in the states, doing experiential education with children, found my contract ended and myself with nothing to do. So I followed my girlfriend to Japan, hung out with her there, and then continued on to Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia and such, just doing all I can to enjoy my time here. Who knows, I may not come back. Now I'm in Australia, waiting to get on a boat to fill in some time, make some money to spend on traveling and keep doing it.
I'm really looking forward to maybe working on an excavation in Cambodia in some temple ruins in the mountains next year.
PHILOSOPHY
Life is a journey, not a guided tour
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I surf the couches real hard man!
If I had a place, I would let people use it, however I am on the traveling end of the spectrum at the moment.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
As a tall ship sailor, that's largely how I roll. I connect with other sailors and often hang out with them until they take pity on me and give me a place to sleep. I once surfed an 8 foot boat in santa cruz, it ended up with me eating sand, but that didn't stop me from trying again.

Music, Movies, and Books
Love movies, music and books, I consider myself a music whore, bibliophile, and really, movies just have to suite the mood.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hmmmmm, Sailing in the Caribbean at night, dolphins swimming in the bow wake with a heavy concentration of bioluminisent plankton. Think comets and fireballs streaking through the deep blue ocean under a sky full of stars.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love teaching, one of the biggest reasons I'm so addicted to tall ships is getting to share my knowledge with other people. If you don't learn something during the a day, you've wasted it.
I'd be happy to share any of my knowledge.
