About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to explore Europe in winter

ABOUT ME

I grew up in Auckland and moved down to the land of scarves - Dunedin - at 18 to escape the big city and do some learning. Back home I really love to go tramping (which you probably know as hiking), serenade friends with my somewhat tuneless singing, and eat vast amounts of chocolate. I've been living in Amsterdam for a couple of months now and am starting to feel like a real Amsterdammer - I can now ride a bike and text at the same time!

PHILOSOPHY

Ah still working on this one.
'Don't ask what the world needs. ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. because what the world needs is people who have come alive' - Howard Thurman

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm quite partial to rock music, in particular that of the 80s and earlier. Meatloaf makes me happy. Amelie is up there for movies. Uni has a nasty habit of turning reading into a chore, but come summertime I will have many books to share with you.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

At Easter a couple of years ago some friends and I walked all day up and down mountains to reach a lake formed by melting glaciers, filled with icebergs. It was incredibly beautiful and hostile at once.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a pretty good juggler. I can teach you how to make an origami crane. I have a degree in zoology and nearly one in art history, so I guess I could tell you a bit about either of those.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Monaco, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Netherlands, New Zealand
