About Me
I need to UPDATE SOON
I haven’t been on the platform since I got stucked in Budapest due the the world event of 2020.
My island has been “shaking” since December 28th, 2019. We have had more than 2,100 earthquakes. It shakes daily. As a groomer, I have been helping out grooming (free of charge ) dogs of people whom have lost their homes and it has been very gratifying. Now it’s time I take a break. I will be traveling from March 5th to March 18th 2020. My plan is to visit Vienna, Bratislava, Budapest, Prague and Czesky. Hopefully I get to visit all those places!
After Hurricane María hit my island on September 2017. I spent 7 months volunteering to bring Help and Hope to people in need around the island. I helped with several other organizations “. Maria made me stronger and I learned many lessons along the way.
I worked as an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher also a Spanish as a Second Language teacher for many years. I spent nine years in Hawaii teaching ESL to people from all over the world. I enjoy meeting new people and exploring new cultures. I get along with people of all backgrounds and ages.
I traveled solo for 27 months. I found out about Couch Surfing on Nov 2012 from a Chinese gentleman I met in Bali. I have couch-surfed in India, Laos, Malaysia, Italy, Switzerland and Ireland.
I spent the las Year and a half training as a pet groomer and business entrepreneur and I am just now venturing into becoming my own boss working from home taking care of dos.
I am a dog mom.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I enjoy surfing while I travel because I get to know places from a local point of view . I am passionate about meeting people from different cultures and learning about their traditions. I like to experience cultures that do things different than what I am used to. Each trip changes me.
After the Catastrophic Hurricane María hit our island I am not able to host for now until I fix my place.
COUCHSURFING
I did my first couchsurfing with Richie in India when I visited Hyderabad. I then surfed with uncle Reddie on the island of Penang in Malaysia and then with Eddie on the island of Langkawi also in Malaysia. I stayed with Hannah and then with Jan during my stay in Vientiane, Republic of Laos. I surfed in Paris andSwitzerland. There have all been good experiences. My hosts showed me places that I would not have found on my own.
