Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to travel the world and meet new people!

When I was a bit younger, the idea of travelling scared me. As long as I had a bit of food and a computer, everything that I needed was within arm's reach. Now that I'm getting a little bit older, a bit of a wanderlust has taken hold of me. I really want to see the world past my front door.

Interests

Anything miniature related I love, like Warhammer, Warmachine/Hordes, Bloodbowl, Mordheim etc.

I've also got a really deep voice, so sometimes I like to plug in my fancy microphone and record myself talking and making silly noises. While I was growing up, being a radio host was one of my fantasies.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really love pretty much all music, but recently I've been loving Hozier. I've started working on a playlist full of music that I like, but it's not very full yet.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 14 I won a miniature painting award for being the best in Ontario for people younger than 16. Pretty small demographic, but I'll take it. I got a fancy crystal trophy for it.

I think that same year I also ran a 5k running event in under 25 minutes, which again was an achievement.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to play Bloodbowl, sculpt, paint, and make silly noises.

Aside from my main job as an FSR for a fairly large financial institution over here in Canada, I also work part-time at one of the best hobby shops in Ontario - Black Knight Games. I've been going there for well over 7 years, and it keeps me sane. I was never very good at winning games, but I've played plenty of them! Black Knight specializes in miniature hobby supplies, as well as Board Games. Here's a link to their website, just to give you an idea of what I do and what I love!
