Overview
About Me
I love traveling and meeting people from all walks of life. Having spent a majority of my life living and traveling abroad, I am always up for the next adventure.
I believe we as people live our lives simply to connect to other people. I don't think we would exist without the people important to us in our lives; and if we did, what would be the point? Life is all about the relationships you have, whether it be family, friends or simply interactions with strangers (... who may soon be a friend). That's why we are here, on earth and on CS.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My sister and I were stranded in Malawi and were literally getting onto a dumptruck (trying to make it to somewhere before dark), when a British couple saw us among the trash and picked us up and took us home with them. The took us out and showed us off to their friends! It was an amazing experience and they literally saved us.
Since then I've had the privilege to stay with and meet amazing people all over the world - getting to know them, their homes and their cultures. It is such a joy to expand our horizons and grow through the eyes of others. Super thankful for the CS community, both the local host community in Seattle and all the awesome CSers globally.
Interests
I believe in living life to the fullest and taking advantage of every opportunity. I love traveling, reading, writing, watching movies, taking walks, swinging on swing sets (especially in the fall). I love to cook, eat out, and just chill with friends. I am usually up for anything.

Music, Movies, and Books
Three favorite books are The Posionwood Bible; Memoirs of a Geisha; & The Twentieth Wife. I love historical fiction that can take you back in time to a culture that doesn't exist anymore! I am into all sorts of music and films.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One is hard. However, one of the most surreal experiences I have had was swimming alone with a whale shark off the coast of Mozambique... it was insane and beautiful and terrifying all at the same time.
Teach, Learn, Share
Life is good and the people in this world are good. Never let one bad experience deter you from taking chances, if you do, you'll miss out in the future.
