About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To bring travelers and people of all walks of life together through music, love and co-creating this ride of life.
ABOUT ME
I'm a father, a husband, a professional working musician, a couch surfer and an actual ocean surfer ;-), avid bicyclist/runner, and pretty much just an all 'round fun lovin' open hearted dude!
I consider myself to be outgoing and pretty openminded. I play music from Jazz to R&B, Hip-Hop to Funk. I appreciate all kinds of art and enjoy talking to people with creative passions. While music defines a large portion of who I am and what I do, I'm also love to travel, surfing, meeting new people, and enjoy good food & drink among many other things. I grew up in the Minneapolis/Twin Cities area of Minnesota for the first 13 years of my life and now call Seattle my home.
PHILOSOPHY
My personal philosophy is simple...like the golden rule: I respect and appreciate people the same way I would like to feel respected and appreciated. I try to play my part in benefiting mankind and lead by example in my day to day life. I've learned a lot about the oneness of our universe and I practice being open to the abunence that exists all around us. Basically, life is a beautiful gift so I try to live a happy life everyday.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I participate by putting myself out as an friendly ambassordor for Seattle and fellow traveler who can also use a Couch from time to time. I support the CouchSurfing project with complete confidence because I believe it's playing a vital role in opening our homes and minds to each other. The CouchSurfing network has helped create some of the most memorable experiences and human exchanges I've ever had. We need more projects like this in the world!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My top 2 best CouchSurfing experiences were:
1. Staying in Rome with these warm Italian friends that completely opened their home and hearts. They showed me an Italy and side of themselves that I will never forget! What an adventure they helped create with me. I know they were equally touched by meeting me and getting a glimpse into my music world.
2. Attending a BIG CS picnic on the Rhine River and meeting all kinds of fellow CS travelers. My host in France wanted to meet me before hosting me and he told me about this meet-up. I'm so glad he did because we drank wine, ate amazing food that everyone brought, played music and laughed 'til the wee hours of the night and all the while staring at the beautiful backdrop of the Notre-Dame Cathedral just across the river from where we sat. It was amazing!
Interests
I'm interested in the arts, philosophy, biking, real surfing in the water ;-) , frisbee, movies, the show Arrested Development, and a bunch of crazy fun!

Music, Movies, and Books
There's too many too list, but I'm really into jazz music because that's what I play most of the time.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've played music in the Safeco Field stadium of the Seattle Mariners. I've seen a 750 year old spruce tree (it was freakin' huge...seriously). I completed an olympic distance Triathlon in Maui, Hawaii.
Teach, Learn, Share
What have I learned...
As a surfer: I would say I've learned that cultural interaction is vital to humanity's survival and growth. When I was traveling around Europe in May of 2006, I realized just how small our planet really is. What I mean to say is that I've begun to understand how important tolerance and openess helps among the people that call this spinning rock their home.
As a student/fellow human: Working together and expanding the human consiousness is one of the greatest contributions we can make.
Go CouchSurf and meet someone new! You have nothing to lose except a chance to have a great experiance you'll never forget.
