About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Be mistaken for a native German person!
ABOUT ME
I'm a chilled out guy who is easy to get along with. I like learning languages and making new friends. I have a very international cosmopolitan ambition and would like to make friends all over Europe and elsewhere. I'm polite and usually go along with what others want to do in a group situation. I like to have good laugh and "the odd drink" and make party!
PHILOSOPHY
Liberal / Libertarian, Humanist, Non-materialistic (except my musical instruments!!)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm a newcomer, but I'm hoping to have my first guest stay soon! I often mention and recommend Couch Surfing to people when I do carsharing/ covoiturage / mitfahrgelegenheit, or when I meet like-minded travellers.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have hosted my friend Jack Stringer in Forbach, and together we visited Metz and Saarbrücken. It was a really great few days which helped me to see my own area in a different light. It was also good to have a guest and cook and chill out with someone in the evening. Hopefully there will be more such experiences to come.
Interests
I love to travel, especially with covoiturage and meet new people along the way. I'm really interested in music and play guitar and a bit of piano. I also love singing despite my mediocre voice! I like discovering the night-life in new places as well as seeing tourist sights and looking for other fun things that are a bit off-the-beaten-track. Am interested in poetry and surrealism and art and such things :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
-Driving from Lyon to Italy through the Alps round the winding roads, and the person I was driving with was driving a bit too fast. Was really breath-taking.
-I recently went to a country/folk music gig in Besançon which blew me away. The guitarist of one of the bands was rocking the guitar-slide. Amazing sound-scapaes to get lost in.
-A summer-time walk last year near Nottingham, where I'm from, along the river and canals leading back to my house through David Attenborough Nature reserve, listening to Fleet Foxes. Pure bliss.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would definitely be willing to learn languages and share my own knowledge of them with anyone who's interested. Music is my main interest, so any discussions on music, and especially a good jam or two, would be my kind of thing to share.
