About Me

Hello everybody, hoping you're having a nice day and giving all my thanks for reading my profile, I'm a easy-going and curious Chilean guy who is keen on knowing different cultures, foreign languages (such as English, German and French). I'm geographer of the University of Chile and now I decided to make a great trip throughout Europe and Japan next year and gather new experiences meeting local potential friends (my biggest dream is to travel around the world). Besides, I want to know how to see the world from other point's of views and enrich my mind while I travel. In spite I can't host people in my home, I would be very happy to guide foreigner friends both in Santiago and Valparaíso and have nice conversation with them. I promise that I can be an excellent tourist guide. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here because I want to meet new nice people, learn all about their country and language and have nice experiences with them (it's strange but when someone is helps a foreigner, it seems you see your own country with other eyes). I realised while someone travels from a X to Y point, that person always has an inner trip in his/her spirit which sets the basis for a great change in life, so I would like to experience that too. Besides I would like to experience how's to stay in a foreign country from the society's eyes instead of being disconnected in a "comfort zone" such as hotels.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite kind of music are 80's, The Beatles, Queen and Chilean rock (Los Prisioneros). My favourite books are all written by Harari ("Sapiens: From Animals into Gods", "21 lessons for the 21st century" and "Homo Deus"), they gave me a critical view of world history and the mankind's fate. Besides I like The Alchemist because it teaches wise things about life with simple words.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

To be at the summit of Villarrica volcano.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can help all people who's learning Spanish (I've got an easy and playful technique taken from Ramón Campayo for learning foreign words) and tell all about Chile's geography, history, people, food (I can guide tourist to places with the most delicious empanadas de pino ever haha) and mores.

What I Can Share with Hosts

For all friends who can host me in Europe, I offer all my knowledge about Chile and Spanish language. Besides, I can help at buying food and I offer my best mood while we talk about our countries. :)
