About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Cultural exploring

ABOUT ME

I have been living and working for the last 6 years in Brussels. After 2 more classical studies, I decided to not go work in the corporate world but try to do projects with sense, where we try to have a positive impact on the planet and society. How it is possible to create real impact, is a continuous question, one that I'm happy to discuss with people I meet on the way.
I'm for the moment studying in Brussels, capital of Europe. Important things in my life where handball, cycling and also a little bit of studying. My main way of travelling is hitchhiking, because it's the best way to get to know travelers and local people.

PHILOSOPHY

Tolerance is important and you learn to be tolerant when you meet people from everywhere and you learn about the way they live.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couchsurfed a few times and it's the best way to travel because you learn to know local people and they help you to visit more than touristic places!

Interests

Like most of the people here, travelling. Sport is important in my life. I play handball. I cycle when I don't play handball

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite movie of all times is 'Blood Diamand'. But a very good movie I saw a few weeks ago was 'Die fetten Jahre sind vorbei'.
It's not possible for me to pick one group because I listen to all different kinds of music, from pop to classic.
A book that made a big impression on me was 'Dans van de luipaard' from Lieve Joris, a book about Congo and the terrible situation there, and it's becoming worser every day.
I spent some time of my childhood on reading the 50 books of Karl May.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to Congo a few years ago to meet the family of my uncle, and it opened my eyes. After that experience I looked different to my life. Now I want to explore to world more, and meet people. And it made me enjoy more the small things.

Teach, Learn, Share

There is a sentence that I try to remember in our world of waste :
'Wir haben die tendenz einen Baum zu fällen, wenn wir einen zachnstaucher brauchen'
