I was born in England and grew up in Russia I've just returned from a year of travel with my girlfriend through South East Asia and Nepal .I'm pretty open-minded I like trying new things and meeting new people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined couch surfer's about a year ago on the recommendation of a good friend. I was a bit unsure about the idea to start with but I had some great experiences and met some awesome people. I'm happy to meet up and hangout with the right people and help out with some local knowledge and maybe a couch to crash on.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Although I'm not a complete Couchsurfing fanatic like some people, I surfed a few couches whilst travelling and went to a few events which were good fun. I'm open to being more involved and potentially hosting the right sort of travellers.

Music, Movies, and Books

Pretty much anything, I'm open to most types of music although I'm not a big fan of hardcore heavy metal. I do like good blues, acoustic, or flamenco. The same goes for books I'll read pretty much anything Jane Austin, Hemingway or Harry Potter. Movie wise I'm pretty open minded as well, though I am partial to a good sword fight, a classic western, Wes Anderson or the Cohen Brothers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Played football (soccer) with my brother a friend from Spain and some locals in front of a Buddhist temple in rural Thailand during a thunderstorm.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've always had a strong interest in animals and nature I love to experience different wild places in the world and what they're about. I've got a pretty good general knowledge, I've had a few lessons and can speak a little Thai and a few words of German and a some bad French but I'd love to learn a language (other than English) fluently. After doing a lot of travel I've realised there's a lot of my own country I haven't seen. There are a lot of overseas trips I'd still like to do but I'm also looking forward to exploring more of Australia.
