About Me

Hi,
my name is Sese and I am currently doing a gap year (backpacking from Berlin to Tokyo without a flight) after finishing my studies in Berlin. I don‘t have much experience with couchsurfing yet but I heard about many good experience from friends. So, I thought I‘d give it a go!

To me the best thing about traveling is getting to know new people and getting insights into a different culture and lifestyle. I’m looking forward to many conversations that can put everything into a different perspective - talking about impressions from your travels or contemplating life choices.

I’m pretty much always in a good mood and very easy-going. I enjoy meeting new people and exploring new places, cooking, trying new things and failing miserably, listening to good music (love to discover new music!), going out for a drink, hiking, sports, and having good conversations about almost anything.

From my childhood on I had the opportunity to travel quite a lot, last solo trips being to India, Shanghai, South Korea, Portugal, Spain and Ghana. I did a semester abroad in Korea and lived in Ghana for four months doing voluntary work.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I‘ve always been doing some voluntary work. During high school I was a sports coach (handball 🤾🏻‍♂️) for kids and actually got an official license for it. After school I was volunteering in Ghana as a teacher for maths an English in 5th & 6th grade. In university, I was very active in a student club.
