Since graduating back in 2013, I've spent my time season hopping all over the UK, Europe and The States. I've had the most incredible time, meeting the most incredible people.

After returning home from my final ski season in St. Anton, Austria, I have settled down in Sheffield managing a small pop up theatre in a disused Woolworths. Sheffield is a beautiful city but I still adore exploring beyond the bars and moors of South Yorkshire.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Since signing up I have had both great experience hosting and surfing in both the USA, Canada and back here in the UK. I have met some truly terrific people on Couchfurfing.org that I still keep in contact with to this day and have met up with Surfers in Austria and back home here in Sheffield. I firmly believe these are life long friendships hope they call on me whenever they need a shower and a hot brew.

I would never have been able to travel North America the way I did if it wasn't for Couchsurfing.org. Now I finally have my own spot and comfy sofa bed, it's only fair I offer my place and hope to facilitate other peoples amazing adventures!

Interests

The arts, adventuring, drinking and learning.

I'm a huge follower of the arts, an avid traveler (why else would I be here?), an appreciator of real ales and a sucker for local history and hands on learning. I want to experience everything the world has to offer no matter how mundane, dangerous or off the beaten track.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a big reader. I love Patti Smith, Tom Wolfe, Jack Kerouac and Charles Bukowski. Anything that draws from personal experience to create nostalgia, a sense of adventure and beautiful description. I'm also a sucker for children's literature.

I listen to everything. I used to DJ regularly in clubs at university scratching a mix of swing, jazz and electro and played saxophone in a punk/ska band before that. I listen from anything from jazz to hip-hop, pop to black metal, punk to classical. I love to hear people talk passionately about their music and like to think I can engage with anyone who does so.
