Overview
About Me
Culture addict, foodie, part-time nerd, activist, music enthusiast. I am currently doing a PhD in International Relations and investigate how climate change is perceived across different societies. Based mostly in Berlin, but currently for a bit in South Africa, doing interviews and hanging out.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've hosted a few people in Bolivia, Berlin and Santa Barbara and Oxford and surfed a couple of places around Europe, Middle East and the US. Its just always nice to meet great people.
Interests
I just like spontaneity and taking life not too seriously. Good friends and other long-term meaningful relationships are also a great thing, as are music and other kinds of art. I am a fan of museums, record shops and theatres and once in a while a little bit of clubbing. Every know and then, I also like to play some records.
Music, Movies, and Books
Books/ Contemporary European literature stuff like Michel Houellebecq, Sybille Berg and Christian Kracht, all-time-classics like Max Frisch, Suter and Proust, and also beat literature such as Burroughs, Bukowski, Miller. Movies/ Gregg Araki, Gasper Noe, Larry Clark, Michael Heneke, Wes Anderson, Xavier Dolan, Sean Baker, Yorgos Lanthimos, Werner Fassbinder, Helene Hegeman, David Lynch. The best TV-shows are obviously Twin Peaks and the first season of True Detective. Music/ from Gerd Janson to Rødhåd, from Nils Frahm to Debussy and from Mount Kimbie to Glass Animals. Electronic music to go out; indie, alternative r'n'b, and classical music to stay in.
