About Me

CURRENT MISSION

travel the world and the seven seas

ABOUT ME

i grew up in a situation where nobody did anything out of the ordinary, but now i want to travel the world and live life to the fullest!
usually when i meet new people i am a bit shy and timid but when i get to know someone i'll be a relaxed, easy going guy and nice to hang out with and of course very modest also :P.
Depending on my mood and the people im with i can be serious, funny or just batshit crazy :D
Im looking to meet new people and just have a great time. i joined couchsurfing because i think hanging out with locals is the best way to discover new countries and cultures.
Normally i don't smoke (except sometimes when im drunk).

PHILOSOPHY

work hard, play harder :P

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i first heard about couchsurfing on a travel program on tv. a couple of months later i read about it again on a site and then i joined.
Before i signed up on CS i backpacked through austria and loved every bit of it. I even pitched my tent in the garden of a very hospitable lady (after asking of course) but i doubt she was a CS member :P
I want to go couchsurfing on my trip through southeast asia in jan '11 and when i get a crib of my own i want to host people, too.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

yes! i surfed in bangkok and saigon, and i had great experiences and made loads of new friends. i even met both of them again when i returned to the cities a few week later. couchsurfing is great, im gonna keep doing it!
I surfed in kathmandu! had a great local experience and i got to see a side of nepali life that would otherwise have been hidden.
I surfed in Lima, peru and had a great time and made friends for life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once jumped from the bridge of a ship into the water abt 25 meters - more scary and a greater kick than parachute jumping!

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to meet active, interesting, outgoing people, to really connect with other ways of life. I like to see how other people live their lives, because i think the more we experience new things, the more we learn from each other and about ourselves.
