ABOUT ME

I'm a self-employed (art) director with a love for museums and music, the sciences, maps & atlasses, as well as hanging out with friends for just drinks.

I am an open minded person and I have a somewhat scientific approach to life and a rational approach to communication. However I let feelings guide me in more important life choices (work, travel, friendships).

I can't say I am overly spontaneous, but I am caring once the ice has broken. I like to plan ahead and do enjoy 'spontaneously planned' fun :)

PHILOSOPHY

I strongly believe in tolerance towards each other. In any shape, way or form. Personally I believe in the power of the individual to overcome personal challenges. Lessons learned from those challenges have made me a stronger person. Of course, I am still learning - love learning - and will continue to learn.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like to meet and talk to people from different cultures. Most of all I like to help people get around by train, bicycle and automobile. Feel free to contact me if you need transportation to/from/in the region of Groningen. I can host someone for short stays. Also I can show the town and perhaps countryside.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted (only) once and have travelled to Slovakia and Spain where I stayed with locals.

Movies: Arthouse, sci-fi, highly regarded movies (Blade Runner, Himmer Uber Berlin, Songs From The Second Floor, to give you an example). Music: Indie/alternative/classic/jazz/rock (really depends on mood). Books: Sci-fi, surrealism.
