Overview
About Me
I made a journalism degree but life has taken me to placed I've never imagine, now I work as an IT Recruiter. Topics of interest include film (specially horror), music and tourism-related stuff. I’m a huge Taylor Swift fan and I also love cats (I have one named Maqui). I like meeting new people, my journalism base made me love to have conversations with people I can do research about or write fictional stories about it. I’m very fluent in English and my native language is Spanish, currently learning German and I understand a bit of French.
Please note that I have never ever hosted or surfed, I created the profile out of curiosity and then pandemic happened. I haven’t got the chance to travel as much as I would like to yet but I’ve been able to meet people from CS already. Thanks.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My profession involves a lot of meeting new people so I can get stories/inspiration to talk and write about. I feel like it’s cool to connect with people around the world. The first time I traveled outside the country I met a lot of amazing people, from the barista who made my coffee for a week to the guy I hooked up with on Grindr. Meeting people is cool, specially when both parts have a lot to share and I feel like —by the experiences of friends who have used CS– this provides a chance to make new friends.

Music, Movies, and Books
I’m a HUGE Taylor Swift fan, sorry. Not feeling guilty about it even tho I know a lot of people can’t stand her. I met her and she’s really nice, she gave me three hugs – go swipe on my photos, I have proof! I’m into almost every genre too, I do really love listening to music, I really do. My playlist goes from Rammstein, passing through some random soundtrack, Madonna and The National. Show me your favorite music, it’s always cool to listen to new artists!
I love films as well. I do like almost every genre, not very into action films. My favorite genre is horror and I do know a lot of facts about it. My favorite scary movie is A Nightmare on Elm Street 2. My favorite non-horror film is Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and my mainstream option is Mean Girls. Very versatile on it too.
I’m not much of a reader and I declare myself guilty for loving young adult novels. Yes, I read Twilight and what about it? My favorite book is Call Me By Your Name –I love the film adaptation as well. I looooove Heartstopper as well, kinda reminds me of my teenage years. I like to read about History books and novels as well, specially the ones about the colonial period in Mexico.
I know TV isn’t in the headline but it is important to state that I love Rupaul’s Drag Race and I’m a “geek” in that as well. That’s it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Travelled to Toronto for a Taylor Swift show and got the chance to meet her. Also going to Munich during the FCBvBVB match weekend and getting last minute ticket to see the game at the Allianz Arena!
Teach, Learn, Share
If we meet in Mexico City I can give you a tour about the history of the city. When I was in high school I was an history nerd so I know about almost every place in the city, at least a fun fact. If you’re trying to learn Spanish I can also help you with learning it.
If you host me we might be able to cook together. I do think I have a lot of interests I can’t even put them all here, I do have knowledge of fun facts or topics people do not usually talk about, lol. If you host me and you’re trying to learn Spanish I can help with that as well. I like to learn about people and their experiences or interests, that’s probably why I’ve decided to do a journalism degree, meeting people is fun! We can have fun conversations about almost anything!
