About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Finding a healthy work/life balance :)
ABOUT ME
I do enjoy quiet places. Then you can meet me also on special occasions in the audience of a metal concert. I like going to new places and breathe in the atmosphere there. I don't mind if it's nature or architecture.
PHILOSOPHY
Sometimes it's good to take a leaf out of another person's book, but you still should be yourself :-)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I can show around folks in Dortmund or the Ruhr area if they like. Also I like to answer to Dortmund/Germany-specific questions in the groups. I can offer a couch, too.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Most of the time I try to go to the meetings in different Ruhrgebiet cities and join some of the events we have here. I also did enjoy the CS meeting in Cork, Ireland very much.
In general you can find me on the message boards because I also like to answer Dortmund/Germany related questions in there.

Music, Movies, and Books
MOVIES: My favourite movie of all times is "Dune" (David Lynch), generally I like movies that leave space for imagination (SciFi, Fantasy), but also detective stories or romantic comedies
MUSIC: Most of the time it's metal (Blind Guardian, Dream Theater, Midnattsol), but there is also a share of electronic music (Zombie Computer) and classical music (Bach, Beethoven).
BOOKS: SciFi in general, alternate history, detective stories, political essays, ...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The funniest experience I had on CS was dancing to Bohemian Rhapsody in a pub in Cork with someone I just knew for a couple of minutes :-)
Teach, Learn, Share
First of all I like languages, although I only speak my mother tongue (German) and English fluently. But I like to get access to other cultures especially via their language.
Then there's computer science and software development, that doesn't mean I'm keen on fixing other people's computer but I like to solve technical problems or to develop tiny scripts or applications for specific uses, and this is more fun as a team.
