About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Bring smile and love on earth. ;)
"[..] include anything at all" wow...
Well, I guess the first thing to say is that I enjoy to meet people and what I like the most is to be with different kind of persons at the same time! I'm not just open minded but I NEED to be with some people that have nothing in common. It's like challenge my own "I". I hate people too sure of themselves and that pretend to be accomplished. Traveling is one of the average to keep this point of view on myself and continue to learn from my meetings.
I would say that I'm a kind of paradox where mingle a lot of what constitute myself: serious, crazy, happy, melancholic, worker, lazy...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I registered in May 2013, at the end of my exchange program in the States, in order to make a cross-country trip.
At this time, I wanted to meet some people not from other countries (what's happen typically in Hostels) but people who live where I'm traveling. I wanted to explore areas as much as individuals/locals.
So many great experiences! That's the best way to travel and discover the deep reason of why you're traveling. ;)
Interests
I can't "list anything that I'm interested in" but I can try to scheme the most important... Cinema. This is a huge part of my life since my childhood. However it allowed me an openness to the world and many other things. One of them is Art and Philosophy. That's the reason I studied Aesthetic (philosophy of art) at the Sorbonne and why I gave my entire life to the exploration of what life, art and cinema are.
Music, Movies, and Books
Probably like most of the people from my generation I used to read, listen and watch so many eclectic things from different ages.
At this time I'm interested in experimental electronic music (Marta Herble, Inga Mauer) but I'm still listening to some Shoegazing (This Mortal Coil), Bob Dylan, Schoenberg, Herbie Hancock, Arvo Pärt...
In love with the American transcendentalists and German idealists.
Last books I loved: John Milton, Paradise Lost
My three spiritual fathers are Lynch, Malick and Godard/Korine.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Well, it's better if you ask I guess.
Teach, Learn, Share
What I learned these last years is that what we learn is not something that we are conscious on the moment, but something that we know later. So I'm not this kind of guy pretending to teach something to the other but just hoping that people have a good feeling by spending time with me.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good talks I hope instead of a good French cooking. ;)
