ABOUT ME

Well, I have been in college for 6 years now and I'm just graduating. I need to get back to learning where it matters... In life, love and travel!
Let's see, I would rather be outside than inside, rather be somewhere new and uncomfortable than old and monotonous, and I'd rather leave behind something that adds to humanity rather than take away from it.
My motorcycle keeps me pretty busy most of the time and so does disk golfing. I have mellowed out since my early twenties and now enjoy observing the world and I take life more seriously. There are many things people want to be remembered for when they die. Mine is to be seen as a worldly man who was kind to all and who people can seek advice from. That's it.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in being kind to others no matter what their reason for being unkind. I will defend myself if being harmed but not with words. I usually just feel sorry for people when they can't understand that it is amazing we even have the opportunity to experience this world. Do you know of any other observable species from the universe? I don't. It is a gift to even be breathing. The rest of the experience is up to your discretion.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I talk about this program like it's a movement. Kind of like a march on city hall. It's that big to me. It's not hard to spread the word. All someone has to do is ask me how I am able to travel to all these distant places while going to college and working. I'll say, "Ya ever heard of Couchsurfing dot com?" And the torch is passed.

All the books I read are non fiction so it's hard to say what is my favorite book. I guess my favorite type of book would be true stories about wilderness survival or a book that teaches me something I can use. Music is many different genres including (in order) the blues, rhythm and blues, and soul music. I have recently developed a real interest in everything classical and instrumental.

Assisted in rescue operations in a Pakistani earthquake, assisted in building a school and playground for refugee children in Seychelles, Cherry Blossom festival in Iwakuni Japan, Visited Hiroshima Memorial Museum (more amazing than you might think), found biological father after 25 years of the unknown, hung out with my favorite blues musician B.B. King, had a beautiful daughter, and it continues...

I have spent the majority of my adult life searching for answers to questions that I have no idea what the questions are until I find the answer. I believe that wisdom is better aquired when you don't know it's happening. Inside a classroom you learn knowledge. Outside you learn wisdom through trials and tribulations. I have learned a lot and so Use it continues...
