Overview
About Me
I'm finishing high school in September this year and hope to study Economics/Law at the Australian National University in 2017.
I'm very active in bringing about legislative environmental change in Australia and around the world, winning the NSW Young Sustainability Champion Award last year.

I hope to utilise this passion in my tertiary study by hopefully majoring in resource economics.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As I'm sure everyone is well aware, a student's budget when travelling isn't too accommodating and whilst airing this grievance with a friend, he suggested CouchSurfing. I decided to look into it further and upon reading reviews from others, especially in regards to the social and linguistic benefits of it, and with nothing to lose I made an account! I hope to utilise it in my post-exam 4 month break and throughout university.
Interests
I love being outdoors and compete competitively in regional swimming competitions.
I also love exploring exotic and niche libraries and book stores.
I'm interested in resource economics -as mentioned above- as well as environmental law more broadly. If I could pursue any field of work, it'd probably be British and German philosophy but based on its employment prospects (or lack thereof in this case), I've decided to pursue my second major passion instead and keeping the former as a leisurely pursuit.
I'm fond of animals and volunteer at zoos around NSW

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm quite the bibliophile, with the works of Wittgenstein being my personal favourites.
I also enjoy Harry Potter, Star Trek: The Original Series, LotR, and ASoIaF.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Built a 1m high Croquembouche all by myself!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love cooking and consider myself quite proficient in French cuisine; I could therefore share some of my favourite recipes as well as prepare some of my favourite meals
I can share some of my experiences out in nature whilst hiking (there are many hilarious escapades)
I can also help with the learning of languages (especially German and English, and eventually Russian too) and would love to learn languages from host(s)
Most importantly though, I think I can share my genuinely enthusiastic, energetic, and earnest attitude :)
