About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To surround myself with like-minded people who add something AWESOME to my life and to the world
ABOUT ME
I'm currently a high school Spanish teacher living in Denver with my husband Hap. Hap is from New Zealand and we traveled the world together for 5 years before finally making Denver home this year!
Travel has been an integral part of my adult life and I can't imagine my life without having had all these experiences. Getting different perspectives on the world is so important to me
PHILOSOPHY
Living life comes down to interacting with people--I love meeting new people and seeing how they live their life. I am always interested in a new perspective
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I first discovered CS when in South America and found it to be a great way to meet people.
I have surfed and hosted a bit, but have also sent numerous emails to people helping give them travel advice even if we don't end up meeting up.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
When I was trying to set up shop to live in Barlioche, Argentina we were hosted by a generous couple who put us up while we house hunted. Then of course we made a couple awesome friends who we are still in contact with today.
Actually, before being official on couch surfing, I used to help out lost travelers who would end up at my apartment building by mistake because it used to be a hostel! I have hosted an array of travelers because, in the end, they have no where to stay!

Music, Movies, and Books
My husband and I did an awesome project in Africa and a friend of ours was inspired to create our first documentary "Bikes for Africa" - we are now currently under production for our second, sort of follow up documentary about our story "Loving in Limbo" .....
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I met my Kiwi husband in Mexico in 2007 and went on to live and work around the world with him as he completed his goal to live and work on all 7 continents before the age of 30. It really helped having that guiding light as his goal so that I could get really creative on how to survive (as a backpacker with no money!) working the world - amazing to see what you can do when you set your mind to it! I may still have a little bit of debt but wouldn't change the experience for the world.
