About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To get lost and break things

ABOUT ME

I am a vagabond from Minnesota who dreams of the other side of the world. I have been on the road for nearly three months now bouncing around the beautiful state of Maine on a quest of existentialism and self discovery. I have learned a great deal on my travels— always say yes to trouble making, jazz will fuel your soul, and kicking knowledge is the straight truth-— to name a few.

I love finding synergy in people. Interesting people can and have changed my life, and I hope continue to do so throughout my journey. So, tell me what you're going to do with your time on earth, a story of your passion and history, or what your power animal is; then let's party!

Exploring is my passion; being bold and doing bold things. I've been wanting to take this trip since the tenth grade and I'm finally doing it. Show me all the fun things there are to do here. Let's experience something we'll look back on in old age and smile at. Come hang out with me!

The Trip: August 20th, 2012 - I left my house, my home, my life in my faithful 97' Lumina, dubbed The Boat, and headed east. The plan is vague and fraught with oversights. No job, no money, no home, just two years alone on the road living rad; hitch hiking, train hoping, and by any means possible traveling from the United States through Central and South America, across Europe, and eventually ending up in Thailand for six months. By the end of the journey I hope to have seen enough places and people to understand what I didn't before I left.

Finding yourself in free fall is a beautiful thing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've grown up with amazing friends and family, made skinny dipping an art, met a man nicknamed Critter, saved a life, lived with a famous jazz musician, given away my last dollar to a stranger, been immortalized in song by the great Evan Koch (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vc_mEvQokck&feature=plcp), laughed harder than any person alive when Martynas waved a cop into a lane, and the best is yet to come.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you first aid, juggling, how to play the Spongebob F.U.N. song on ukelele, and maybe how to ollie a skateboard.... it's been a while.

Teach me everything and anything you know. I love to hear what drives people, the places that inspire them, and who in their life makes the world worthwhile.

My goal for 2013 is to learn how to spearfish. Teach me world.
