ABOUT ME

This is Derek. Derek wakes in the morning (usually) but tries to convince himself not to. He does this by keeping his eyes closed and arguing what time it really is. Derek wonders if maybe he experiences a recurring dream each morning. Nah. That would make Derek crazy and everyone who has met Derek knows that Derek is not crazy. *What silly thoughts*

Derek wakes up… This is the beginning of Derek’s days (unless it was from a nap) and each day starts with food. Yes food! Or maybe a shower comes first or lounging around. It all depends on what day it is and the circumstances of the day but let’s pretend that this day starts off with food. Derek loves breakfast. Derek loves the idea of being able to eat breakfast during odd hours (what defines an odd hour? Are they the hours that are odd numbered?) of the day. Derek loves pancakes but they normally make Derek sick to the tummy. Derek also enjoys cereal. Derek can eat many cereals for many days. Derek is mucho excited when he finds a toy inside his cereal.

Moving off of food Derek will then prepare himself for the day. This usually involves hygiene related things (especially if Derek ran that morning). A clean Derek means that Derek can get dirty again. This is better than a dirty Derek just getting dirtier. Derek’s actual day usually involves school, work, social life, lounging, saying “Hey watch this” and of course checking the mail. Once three out of those items have been completed then Derek can sleep soundly at night. Well not actually. Derek enjoys the cold weather. Or maybe Derek just enjoys the cool weather. Do not get Derek wrong. He does enjoy the sun but just loves being able to sleep with a blanket on.

Interesting Derek facts (or maybe not so interesting Derek facts): Derek finds his horoscope interesting but does not believe in the overall idea
Derek has an empty passport 
Derek will not cut his fingernails at night because he fears it will bring about bad luck
He also finds himself avoiding cracks while he walks
Still, Derek does not believe himself to be superstitious
Derek is a member of all and no religion
Derek is colorblind and lacks depth perception but has 20/15 vision
His left eye is brown. *Yeah his right one is too*
When Derek finishes reading a book he prefers to give it away
Derek loves movies. Derek can watch good movies all day
Derek enjoys playing poker and other card games, gambling is fun
Derek is afraid of heights
Derek fears "deep waters" *Yes this can include the deep end of a pool*
He enjoys roller coasters (even if they scare the shit out of him) but cannot handle local carnival rides.
Wants to travel (who doesn't?)
Would love to LIVE in France, UK, Canada, New Zealand, China, Japan, Sweden, Ireland, Iceland and other places far far away from the States(thats what outsiders will call the US).

Derek sleeps at night (usually) because he is afraid that vampires will steal his treasures if he does anything else. His treasures are locked away in a secret vault that is time activated. Time activated so that the vault is only visible when it is exactly 90.9 degrees in Peru. Yes Derek has worked extremely hard to protect his treasures. Derek just recently found new joy in playgrounds!!

Always love a trip to Las Vegas or New York City. Just received my first stamp in my five year old passport when I visited Aruba. Planning to fill it up in 2012.
