COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

my first experience occurred in may 2008. i went to vbc in portland, or, and stayed in a nice house. i did not know what to expect, and was pleasantly surprised with a nice full-sized bed ... a bed that belonged to one of the resident cats : ) it was nice sharing the bed with him for two nights ... it was a welcomed new experience.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

during a day trip to seattle in 2008, i walked across the george washington memorial bridge (aurora street bridge). about midway across this very long and very high bridge, i looked over my shoulder and saw mt. rainier in the distance ... amazing.update 15dec2011:  over the past year i have been able to use my graduate school education to help non-profit organizations, and thus communities, achieve their goals which has made me feel like my life is not my own.  what a gift.

it would be nice to increase my chess, scrabble, and guitar skills.  recently discovered bananagrams and apples to apples! ... i'm willing to share my observations about life and practice speaking Spanish.  oh, i enjoy baking banana bread, cooking, and i can restore a window sash.
