About Me
CURRENT MISSION
trying to deal with my chaos and restlessness in an attempt to understand the world and everything in it. Searching for meaningfull connections with the world and others :-)
ABOUT ME
Pooh, I don't like this question. Difficult :-). It's only trough meeting others, seeing how they are and being seen trough their eyes and seeing the world that I learn who i am. So each day I learn a bit more about myself. . i'm a very reflective person, often introverted (not always, but i need time ;-)) I appear to be very calm on the outside. Though inside i'm restless. I'm also quite sensitive, although I don't appear to be probably. I don't like small talk and consequently i'm not very good at it ;-) , but I do like long and meaningful conversations with people (preferably in company of some alcohol ;-) ) I would like to be direct, honest and straight forwarded with everyone (just cutting the bull shit)- I just want to get the most out of conversations and people. I'm interested in their opinions, feelings and views on life. I enjoy photography as well, especially documentary photography. It's a beautiful way in my opinion to try to grasp people. Literature, conversation and photography are really my favourite things. Also i enjoy just chilling and being relaxed. I can spend hours doing seemingly nothing, but just talk, read, walk, watch other people around me and think. I like meeting places, drinks and good conversations. And when I'm traveling, I like to explore the small aspects of everyday live in other places. See how people live elsewhere.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm still trying to figure out a lot about that
REAL LIVE IS ENCOUNTER (martin buber)
some way of authentic living.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
When I travel alone (which I often prefer), i try to couchsurf, or at least stay at locals homes, 'cause in my opinion that is the best way to travel.
When i am at home, I host other travellers once in a while or meet up with someone.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Lots. My references give a glimpse of my experiences, though some people became friends or we met through other means and never bothered about references...:-)

Teach, Learn, Share
I know a lot about the history of Belgium and the tensions between walloon and flemish people. So I can try to explain the situation of Belgium. I can also give some photography tips (im not a pro though), or hitchhiking advice (if you are starting with hitchhiking)
In general i like to discuss almost everything that is societal or political. I would like to learn more about cooking and the effect of food on the brain and body.
What I Can Share with Hosts
If you are lucky, i bring some belgian chocolates, or beer. ;-)
If not, i can always cook you a meal.
But I prefer to buy some nice drinks and sit down and engage in long evenings of conversations, exchanging views, opinions, etc...
