About Me

*Due to pending schedules and increase in work irregularities plus some home issues to be honest, not able to host at the moment, not changing my CS status since I am still keen in meeting more people. So hopefully you will read my full profile if you are also interested in meeting up as well.
*If you do request, you can be sure that I will reply at the soonest time possible.
*Meet ups will be easier to arrange for now.

I believe in dreams fulfillment through lifestyle creation.

A sense of purpose and non-conformity has enabled me to understand what I really want to do with my life.

I am a Life Planner, a Scuba Diving Instructor, a Chinese Language Teacher, but more importantly I am a Lifestyle Creator.

Someone who is able to travel alone and see the beauty in every little thing. Loves to share my love for life with family, friends and strangers.
Believes that strangers are simply friends whom we have not yet met.
Have faith that lifestyle creation is and will always be what I am going to be doing for the rest of my life.

1. To travel the world.
2. To be able to earn my keep anywhere in the world.
3. To be able to help in every little way wherever I travel.
4. To enable others to do the same so long as they have a dream.

I am no one special, neither am I looking for someone special.
It is all about common people who fit well together and it becomes special.

Above all, I am who I am, nothing more nothing less.
One can neither be more than the original self because of its infinite abundance, nor can one be less because of its boundless energy.

I question all the time. It doesn't have to be a battle since every environment and perspectives will at some time clash, it is a wonderful process because with conflicts come possible understanding. Nature has wonderful ways of building things and in the process can be destructive, what we can learn from there is how to embrace the chaos to bring about peace.
I started my first solo trip at the age of 23. Since it was the first time, it gave me one of my most intriguing experience in knowing people from different countries in hostels, being in a new place doing new activities, gaining new perspectives of understanding what I was taught to believe in versus what I want to do in life. It was a paradigm shift for me. Now instead of saying I travel to gain a new perspective, I would say that traveling allows me to challenge my perception of things and gives me the chance to understand the perspectives of others and mold them together to be a more collective, well-rounded one. One that contains the essence without judgement and criticism.
With that in mind, the assimilation process is not only restricted to traveling, once I do it often enough, it has become more of a daily living for me even back in Singapore.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet like-minded people.
To observe the world through the eyes of people.
To understand more about various cultures and countries through people.

When I travel, I go out into the world.
When I work, I bring the world to me.

Connecting a Global Platform

Interests

Life Issues and basically anything to do with the dynamics of people interactions and relationships.
Learning the languages and understanding the culture is one key area whereby I believe leads to peace and love.
The relationship between psychology, faith and religion.

Connecting people - so as to one day being able to address various environmental, social and humanistic issues around the world.

Generally, I take interests in finding out things of a wide range of genre.

In terms of traveling, I enjoy the thrill of not knowing what comes next. I allow myself to get lost during parts of my travel. Love my solo trips but enjoy the company of friends too. Every trip has its worth.

I love to walk, so if you walk a lot too then you can request that I take you for long walks in Singapore if I am free or bring me for long walks when I am in your country if you are free.

Currently training to be a volunteer guide for Singapore's Southern Islands.

I love both indoor and outdoor sports, examples of sports that I play includes Tennis, Table-Tennis, Swimming, Scuba Diving, Running, Hiking, Bowling, etc...
I have done a tandem sky-diving in New Zealand, bungee jump off 233m from Macau Tower, but the ultimate wish is to do a solo Sky-Diving Course.
I love running even though I have been really lenient with myself on the training, I have completed a few marathons over the past 10 years. Wishing to get back on my training and complete more races. Let's run/jog together if you enjoy it as well.

I love people watching and contemplating about life as I watch the world go by.

There are so much in the world that I would really want to be exposed to.

In short, full of curiosity.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - I find myself more inclined towards Chinese songs. That's probably because they tug more at my heartstrings especially those with meaningful lyrics.

Movies - Psychological Thrillers, Romance, Documentary, Horror and many more. I take the stand that every movie is a story that someone wants to share, so I take the effort to see beyond. Of course, I do have my bias but there are really quite a number of them. Top of my pick will be Matrix if I have to give one.

Books - Law of Attraction and A New Earth
Plenty of others but these 2 books were the ones that impact me the most at 2 different stages of my life.
Law of Attraction when I was 20 years old while serving my national service.
A New Earth when I was 27 years old after I left my job.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Unexpected encounter with a Whaleshark while diving.
(Seen)

Left my stable job in 2012 to free up my time for travel and adventure, earning my expenses through various assignments ranging from a waiter in a restaurant to an insurance adviser, from a stock taker to a scuba diving instructor, from a test subject in a sleep deprivation trial to a Chinese language tutor and so on, I think you guys get the idea that I am setting myself on a path on adaptability and versatility. (Doing)

Recently, on 31st December 2015, I started a walk that covers 1 round of Singapore. Took me 50 hours to complete about 120 km. Total rest time about 8 hours, actual walking and photography time about 42 hours. (Done and to be continued...)
