Overview
About Me
In 2016, I sold most of my possessions and bought a one-way ticket out of Sydney. I slow-travelled my way around Asia before making my way to Europe. To date, I've lived in 7 cities across 3 continents and have been based in Berlin for the past 1.5 years.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Showing travellers around is an amazing way to fall in love with your city, all over again. The same goes for the other way around: being shown around by a local is a unique experience that can never be replicated.
Interests
I love learning about how things work, and why. This could be anything from making the perfect breakfast burrito, how to build a website, or the tiny details in local culture and history. I'm also fascinated by linguistics.
I spend a lot of time outdoors, go bouldering a couple of times a week, cycle almost everywhere and regularly play basketball and beach volleyball. Food is a big reason for why I travel.

Music, Movies, and Books
Hard to say: I have playlists spanning hundreds of genres for every mood and situation. I also listen to a ton of audiobooks and podcasts. As for movies and books, I'm working through a huge backlog of classics, though at the moment I've started getting into some German TV shows.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've...
Spent several days in a monastery in rural South Korea.
Watched the sunrise from a hot air balloon in Turkey, followed by a wild race across the desert on old motorcycles, before paragliding off a cliff in the afternoon.
Drove across both islands of New Zealand in two and a half weeks.
Slept in a floating bungalow in Thailand, three steps away from a beautiful, warm lake.
Bought a $200 motorcycle to ride across the mountains of northern Vietnam, breaking down multiple times and having to fix it on the side of the road.
Stayed overnight in an old German castle near the Rhine River.
Smoked shisha with a Palestinian family in Bethlehem, then partied in the streets of Jerusalem with Israeli hipsters - all in one day.
More than "one" but I love new adventures :)
