About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To hike, eat and be merry in as many countries as possible!
ABOUT ME
I am a product of the US hippy meditation movement of which my parents were a part, hence my nomadic tendencies and vegetarianism until age 23. Born in Berkeley, California, I grew up in the amazing town of Fort Collins, CO. As much as I love it, I had to get out. In the past few years I've lived in the Czech Republic, Germany, Poland, Switzerland and various states around the US. I'm hoping to expand this list for the next few years and am currently working on my PhD in the UK and writing about European food politics.
PHILOSOPHY
Walk - it's good for you and good for the environment. Cook - it's healthy, fun and rewarding. Laugh - it's enjoyable, don't take life too seriously. Listen - others appreciate it. Learn - especially about other cultures, the world is too big to focus on only one place. Love - people, places and new experiences, life is too short not to.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've been a member for a while but haven't yet had the chance to get involved. I'd like this to change and am eager to offer my couch when I can and tour-guiding skills wherever I am. I've attended a few CouchSurfing events in various places and really enjoy the community!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have slept on various friend's couches over the years but would like to get more involved with CouchSurfers.
Interests
