Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To be a traveling artist and walk on the path of medicine
ABOUT ME
I am an avid cyclist, traveler, and I enjoy running. I do photography, sculpture, and printmaking when I'm not studying chemistry and cell/organ physiology at Stony Brook University. I am an optimistic, open minded and friendly person. I like meeting new people and have lived in Italy, Korea, and the United States, and have traveled throughout Asia, climbed mountains, and biked century rides. Before going to medical school, my goal is to bike from coast to coast and to travel the world again!
PHILOSOPHY
Get lost and discover something new. I live my life to enjoy everything in it from the people to the food to the natural events that occur. I love life and get in a euphoric state when I think about it: life goes on and it's beautiful that it does.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have met a lot of friends from across the world and have hosted noncouchsurfers but have met many that are couchsurfers!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I haven't had any official couchsurfing experience yet (hostels and friends of friends' places don't count, right) but really hope to have some soon!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've seen 4 shooting stars in my lifetime and all within a year, the year I got my bike and explored empty trails in the middle of the night, seeing nothing but trees and darkness as well as the stars.
Pulling 3 all-nighters in a row and finding the roof access of the studios and being able to see the sunsets and sunrise in that time: it made me forget just for a brief moment about the deadlines and pressures of school and made me remember the peacefulness and beauty of nature. It took my breath away.
Driving down to the South Hampton secluded beaches to see the winter solstice eclipse. What a sight!
Meeting people from all over the world, climbing Seoraksan mountain for 2 days, backpacking through Malaysia and Singapore for 10 days...
Creating a steel sculpture that is now on permanent display in my university, creating 3 public murals on display in New York, and making a difference in my students' learning in organic chemistry and English classes.
Teach, Learn, Share
We can talk about anything - I love witty dry sarcastic humor. Laughing is my favorite hobby.
I do photography and can give a few pointers in composition, lighting, etc.
I am certified to teach English overseas but I never used my certification!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am a great motivator if you want a workout/running buddy. I can share my knowledge on American, Chinese, and Vietnamese culture including teaching key phrases to survive in any of these countries. I tutor English and can help you if you are not a native English soeaker and want to learn. I also can cook healthy meals for you!
