About Me

Hey CS Community!
I’m Selçuk, born and raised in Cologne, Germany, but my roots go back to Türkiye.
I’m a mix of both cultures, and I think that’s one of the reasons I’m so curious about the world.

There are two things I can’t get enough of: traveling to new places and meeting people.
For me, every new destination is a chance to learn something, share stories, and create memories. That’s exactly why I’m here on Couchsurfing—to connect with people like you.

I believe in the power of friendship, and I’d love to have friends all over the globe (maybe you’ll be one of them!). Whether it’s exploring your city together or just exchanging ideas over a tea.

Let’s meet up, share some laughs, and make the world feel a little smaller.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Traveling and meeting people from different countries and cultures is my biggest passion! I believe the best way to truly understand a place isn’t through guidebooks or tourist attractions but by connecting with the locals who call it home.

Through Couchsurfing, I get to experience the world in a deeper, more meaningful way—sharing stories, learning from each other, and building friendships that go beyond borders.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
I listen to almost every genre of music, so I’ve become pretty good at guessing songs (challenge me if you dare!).
While my singing skills are questionable at best, I never say no to a duet performance of "Breaking Free" from "High School Musical".

Movies:
I’m always up for a good movie night!
And yes, I might know all the *High School Musical* lyrics by heart.

Books:
I’ll admit it—I’m a bit of a Potterhead!
If you’re wondering, I’m open to debates about the best house, but I’m probably a Gryffindor.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach:
I can teach you a bit of German or Turkish, show you how to make some vegetarian dishes, or share travel tips from my own adventures.

Learn:
I’m always happy to learn about other cultures, languages, and cuisines. If you have a special dish, custom, or skill to share, I’d love to know more! Local traditions, or even a new way of looking at the world—I’m here for it.

Share:
I’m happy to share stories, laughs, and a genuine curiosity about life. Whether it’s through a deep conversation, a good cup of tea, or exploring your city, I love creating meaningful connections and unforgettable memories.
