About Me
Hello! I'm a Canadian born Chinese girl that grew up in Victoria, British Columbia in Canada. As a true Banana, all but my physical heritage has adapted me to a life born and raised on Vancouver Island. I've grown up loving the outdoors, beaches, being accustomed to experiencing only two seasons in the year, and having an aggressive love and respect for anything Salmon.
I recently graduated from Industrial Design and Carleton University and it has easily become a great passion in my life. It fuels my desire to travel, see and experience new places that could become a place of work.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The travelling I have done up until this point in my life has been rather tame and usually goes no further than booked hotels and staying with local friends. I'm travelling with my two university roommates across Canada by train! I want to meet locals, go to local dives, learn the quirks, shortcuts, and all the illegal things that locals do anyways.
Interests
Going to University and living on my own for quite a few years now has changed a lot of my interests.
A lot of my free time has been spent having an incredibly intimate relationship with beer and coffee. I've also found that despite my best efforts to budget I have absolutely no chill when it comes to cooking good food for myself and friends.
The nature of my program has also meant that a lot of my hobbies and past times involve me constantly sketching designs and building prototypes in our wood and metal labs.

Music, Movies, and Books
Tycho, Balmorhea, Com Truise, Nujabes, Flume, Kavinsky, Keane, Madeon, Porter Robinson, Gorillaz, Macklemore, The National, Classixx, Twenty one pilots, Childish Gambino, Chance the Rapper, Shook... and wayyy to many more
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I got into a dance battle in the streets with a guy wearing nothing but a leopard print speedo and a fedora while I was in Osaka.
Teach, Learn, Share
My parents and my own experience cooking made me into a somewhat competent cook and the kitchen and one of my favourite experiences is sharing and working in the kitchen with friends. I have library or crazy dishes i'd love to share!
Equally as above i'd love for others to teach me about local dishes and food that you just love to eat! I also love the idea of others sharing their personal stories and experiences with me, nothing beats a crazy story in my book.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Something I could unequivocally share without the fear of not having ingredients or time to cook is good conversations and amazing stories. Just be able to grab a drink, sit back, and swap experiences like if you ever got approached for a dance off :D.
