About Me
Happy to hang out or start a correspondence, SADLY I CAN'T HOST AT THE MOMENT
-----I will never be rude, but please show me you are familiar with these principles of common sense: https://support.couchsurfing.org/hc/en-us/articles/200640010-How-do-I-write-a-good-couch-request- -----
Me, born in the shadow of Mt. Etna, absorbing its nature I would say- both the meditative and the explosive sides.
Student in medicine, deeply passionate about "old school" philosophy. In search for some truth- not here, rest assured. I'm currently investigating religions and mysticism from a rational perspective.
In the case we'll meet, we can converse pleasantly as well as stay silent (I LOVE being silent), do whatever we feel like doing, though I have to add a relevant note here:
-------- While I am otherwise a very flexible and easygoing person- don't have to trust me, you will see by yourself, yet it's important to me to define a pact *first*: a win-win pact on our kind of interaction, which we'll decide together on a case-by-case basis. Nothing formal, obviously, but I have the need to know roughly what I can expect, which mode of relationship I'm going to experience. (Relieve me of the weight of interpretation).
Frankness could be required, as well as discreet intelligence.
Side note, my command of English is exceptionally poor, particularly on the oral side, but I'm confident that we can manage to understand each other all the same :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Getting to know people once in a while (PLEASE, please don't take it personally if I can't host you for a reason or another)
Interests
As said before; plus I'm trying to learn German for a long time now, with little success because of my laziness.
I also love collecting second-hand twentieth-century books in specific editions, I try never to buy hot-off-the-press books unless I have no alternative.
Playing with animals, walking tirelessly preferably in a slow mode, are other favourite activities of mine, and that's enough I think.
I also love food even though I can't cook, sorry :/

Music, Movies, and Books
I like listening to many genres and typically music accompanies me for the most of the day.
I haven't been reading literature for a while now and I'm definitely not proud of that. Generally speaking, I've loved Hermann Hesse, Rainer Maria Rilke, Pier Paolo Pasolini.
At this stage I'm challenging myself more with nonfiction. A few coordinates: Paul Ricoeur (le conflit des interpretations!), Nicolas Gomez Davila, PP Pasolini as said before.
I'm also a longtime admirer of C.G. Jung but appreciate a critical approach to his works, long way from making him a guru.
As mentioned, I'm exploring the greatest (mainly Western) mystic, the traditional religious thinking and also some beautiful female souls from the '900.
Interested also in the cognitive sciences and philosophy of mind (total newbie here), ethics, epistemology, hermeneutics and all things related to philosophy.
****I strive to use brutal formal logic when it comes to logical issues; in all other cases I don't.
I'm extremely relaxed and love listening others' opinions, when expressed as what they are: opinions, yours like mine.****
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Probably I'll have something for you next time :)
Teach, Learn, Share
As a lifelong amateur learner, I can share with you all the things that have NOT worked for me :)
Of course, more prosaically, I can show you my territory and also teach you some of my loved Sicilian :D
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can help with anything needed around the house. Though, as a general rule, please tell me exactly how I can help and, if any, what you expect me to do.
Countries I’ve Visited
England, Ireland
Countries I’ve Lived In
