ABOUT ME

Some general information: We are a couple and live together.

Selina:

I am a small woman with a lot of creative ideas. So I have decided to study fine arts and I have learnt a lot about creative processes. I paint, draw but mainly I make installations where I let the viewer participate and become part of my art work.

I am fond of all kinds of knowledge. I like to learn but also like to give my knowledge to other people. So I also study to become an art teacher.

After a nice supper I most like to sit together with a glass of wine and talk about the world.

Hopefully my creativity and my interest in the world will help to make the world a little better, especially to make it a little more fair.

Wolfgang:

I grew up in Bavaria (South-Germany), studied Urban and Spartial Planing in Kaiserslautern (West-Germany) and moved for work and love to Switzerland. Here I lived at Aarau, Zurich and Berne. And I enjoy it here much! Great mountains of cheese and chocolate and lots of likeable, hearty people.

In general i am a complex, straight and cosy human. I am emotional, humorous and unconventional. I am into the internet and wikipedia. Also i like photos and colours. I cultivate with great passion my calendar and my to-do-list. I have got a menu for the next 100 years. I read books, listen to informative podcasts and audiobooks. I love cooking, eating and enjoying. I am keen on hiking and biking. I like travelling through the world. I am engaded with politics and events of the day. I like aphorisms. And soccer.

I hope there are going to be some great experiences soon. I heard so many nice things about couch surfing, so I look forward to also be part of it now.

I want to get in touch with people all over the world. We had some great couches in Switzerland, Spain, Ecuador and Malawi and met some very interesting people.

Interests

Selina:

Fine Art, traveling, cooking, museums, culture, politics, philosophical discussions, yoga, swimming. I like forign cultures, creativ ideas and all sorts of knowlege. I am interested in a lot of things, almost everything. What I am not interested in are crazy luxery products.

Music, Movies, and Books

Selina:

I like small movie productions from different parts of the world. Movies are a nice way to see into other cultures. Movies I like a lot: Amelie, a French movie; Nord, a Norwegian movie; Stillet Licht, a Mexican movie about Mennonites; Fire, an Indian movie about homosexual women; La vita e bella, an Italian movie; Herbstzeitlosen, a Swiss film; Festen, a Danish family drama...

I listen to a wide range of music. It is difficult to tell what style of music I prefer. There are good song in almost every genre. Even though I like music I don't think it is the most important thing in my life.

I love reading and too often I think I would like to read more. I like books of Friedrich Dürrenmatt, Ödön van Horvath, Fatima Menissi, Alexandre Jardin, Jostein Gaarder...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Selina:

Me and my boyfriend travelled in Ecuador in 2011. Some days we stayed with a native family in the rain forest. Their son had a small traval agency in a small city. It was very impressive to just live with that family and see how they for example hunt animals.
