My name is Selinde. While I grew up in a rural area, I now live in the city of Groningen, the best place to live in the Netherlands (imho:))
The thing I am most obsessed about at the moment is climbing. Because we don't have any mountains here, always go to the gym. It's a very nice place to be and you will find the Excalibur tower outside, the highest artificial climbing object in Europe (of even the world, I'm not sure).
Outside climbing I am a Researcher Of Everything. It's not my profession, but it's something I do. I am trying to find something to believe in, while keeping an open mind. I want to be part of a generation that is willing to heal the wounds of the earth and everything living on it, including ourselves. For that reason I am participating in an ecovillage community. We haven't built anything physical yet, but the plans are there.
I also love cooking. I am a vegan and I really enjoy making vegan food interesting, without being judgemental towards omnivores.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to meet many people. I can't stand the fact that there are lots of nice people everywhere and I never get to meet them ;) I love to talk about life. Everyone carries a piece of the puzzle. I want to exchange pieces.

I really, really want to visit Finland once in my life.
I really, really want to show Groningen to a foreigner once in my life.

Or maybe more than once.
It would be nice to find other ecovillagers throughout the world. Holland is such a small country.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I made a flight on a glider. It was really cool but I was really, really nauseous. I think I turned green. Still I want to try it again. I love flying!
