About Me
Hey,
I am Selman from Turkey. I recently graduated from MA Estonian Studies in Tallinn University in Estonia. I now work in a startup company here. It has been more than 5 years that I live in Estonia. I like to exchange cultures and especially learn about other cultures.
I love volunteering in many different organizations, festivals and events. My volunteering journey started with an Erasmus+ project called European Solidarity Corps(ESC). I was volunteering in a Waldorf Kindergarten in Riga, Latvia for 1 year. I was an Assistant Teacher there and I was organizing some activities and also helping out teachers. It was my first volunteering experience but also it was my first time living abroad away from my country for a long time. But it turned out to be amazing experience for me. That’s how my volunteering journey started. I now volunteer in different youth organizations related to Erasmus+ projects, I volunteer as a firefighter in a local community. Also, I volunteer in many music festivals or sports events during the summer.
About my availability during the week, I mostly work during the day from 9 am to 5 pm. I hope I can manage to host and maybe even show you around the city a little bit when I have some free time during the day or on the weekend. But even if I cannot host you, if I have time, I would be happy to show you the city or even suggest my favorite locations in the city.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I would love to meet people from all around the world and learn their cultures and some basic words from their languages. If you also cook something from your country it will be great to see and learn how to cook that food with you. I am always happy to lear new recipes :)
