ABOUT ME
Actually I'm a bit shy and reflective girl but I'm also very curious about everything it's around me all over the world. I love travel and the feature I love most of travelling is trying to live as the people of that place live, trying to understand their way of thinking, their habits and so on.
I'm attending university here in Italy even if I'm very judgmental about italian university; when I finish it, I'd like to go working abroad. Since I started to study at university I worked as a waitress in my hometown, just to have my own money and learn how to manage it. Now I'm waiting for a big chain store to call me.
I love my friends and I love to spend time with them. My friendship philosophy is, as we say it in italian, pochi ma buoni, "few but good", and my friends are really good ones.
I think I'm a person that always does his best.
PHILOSOPHY
«Marco Polo descrive un ponte, pietra per pietra.
- Ma qual è la pietra che sostiene il ponte? - chiede Kublai Kan.
- Il ponte non è sostenuto da questa o da quella pietra, - risponde Marco, - ma dalla linea dell'arco che esse formano.
Kublai Kan rimase silenzioso, riflettendo. Poi soggiunse: - Perché mi parli delle pietre? È solo dell'arco che mi importa.
Polo risponde: - Senza pietre non c'è arco.»
Italo Calvino, Le città invisibili.
A rough translation:
«Marco Polo describes a bridge, stone by stone.
- But what's the stone sustaining the bridge? - Kublai Kan asks.
- The bridge is not sustained by this or that stone, - answers Marco - but by the line of the arch they set.
Kublai Kan kept silent, considering. Then he added: - Why are you telling me about the stones? The arch only matters.
Polo answers: - Without stones there's no arch.»
Italo Calvino, The invisible cities.
Just to say it, this is one of my favourite books.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I recently started thinking about this project and... Why not? I think it allows you to have abroad experiences you couldn't have only as a tourist. Maybe one of the smartest ways to travel.
For now I can't host anyone, because I live with my mum and my sister and they are not so friendly to have "strangers" in their home. But as soon as I move to live alone, sure I'll have a free couch!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I hope to fill that box soon with my CS experiences!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I thought I had so much thing to say but now, now my mind is completely empty!
One of the recent moments I'm gladder to think about is quite ordinary, but I had some kind of positive inspiration and I felt the power to drive my life wherever I'd like to: I was sitting peacefully along the Spree river in Berlin, reading and listening to music, when the friend I was with asked me if staying there had helped me to accept myself more. I didn't know that - I told her - but I looked around, every sound felt silent, everyone was pretty standing still and right then I felt to be at peace with myself.
