About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To promote a global cause for Humanity¬

ABOUT ME

Being born and brought up exposed to a multitude of cultures and languages, it becomes difficult to not meet people who also have been influenced by several things. Doesn't matter where I am, or who I'm with, we usually get to have a great time. There's nothing quite like meeting people spontaneously, and doing something that you wouldn't normally do.

PHILOSOPHY

If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I attend most of the local meetings, gatherings, and activities. I've also hosted, and surfed; although not a whole lot. But I hope to change that soon.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I met this great group of students from America, here on a Study Abroad Program, and they were throwing a Halloween party. One of them mentioned CouchSurfing to me, and I couldn't resist signing up immediately!
I've met several people within the time that I've been a part of CS, and I've hosted a lot of people as well. Every single one of them proved to be great personalities. Getting into CS is probably one of the best decisions I've ever made. Ever.

Interests

Even though most days are unstructured and open to change, nothing great happens until I let it happen. Most days are spent playing video games, and venturing into cooking different things in unique ways.
I'm actively studying Japanese, and try to put in my daily time into Kanji.

I like to talk about video games a LOT, technology, life-threatening experiences, anything Japanese, embarrassing school days, you name it.

Music, Movies, and Books

The Tree Of Life, Sunshine, Waking Life, Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind, The Dark Knight Trilogy, The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night Time, The Dancing Wu Li Masters, The Arcade Fire, ColdPlay...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Went to Nepal without a plan or even enough clothes in the thick of Winter, was hosted by a great person, after risking life, limb, and money to get there.
-Went and traveled around kerala after 14 years of living there, and reached the Southern extreme tip of India!
-Went to Japan as part of a scholarship program, and tried out everything I could, and even purposefully got lost in the smaller towns, just to see if I could get myself back by asking around!
But most of all, I've seen that if you're good enough to the world, the universe will be on your side.

Teach, Learn, Share

India will teach you to be rude, arrogant, and selfish. You can't trust most people, and should always take any advice with a bucket of salt. True, the citizens are wonderful people, but they aren't always honest with their intentions.
Female travelers ought to be careful surfing with male hosts, and should take note how they are a bit too enthusiastic with their replies.
Although there will be many people here who agree to come to a meeting or a gathering, I guarantee you that most will not turn up/forget.
It's not just about references when you look for an ideal host for you. It's pretty much how they present themselves. Look out for people who have an incomplete profile or write like they haven't passed high school (with the exception of those who aren't native English speakers, although those who learn the language tend to be able to be more concise and neat).

Always remember, trust is a very difficult thing to have here, even though it is the foundation of this community.

That is all for now. Godspeed, travelers.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Local food, rides on a moped, talks about video games and culture, bad Japanese, warm water for to bath, hot food made by us, someone to do weird things with - eating funky things, watching trippy movies, whatever you've held off!

Advice and help with going to Kerala, and Malayalam can be my extra USP.
