Music, Movies, and Books
So many! I do translations (literature, art, history, anthropology) so I have wide range of interest in books. Currently I have been working on translating a 16th century Spanish traveler (Cabeza de Vaca) and his account of expedition.
Jazz, South American music, Turkish music, cumbia, all kinds of folk music, experimental, Psy-trance, post-punk
Recently watched movies: Suspiria 2018, Roma by Alfonso Cuaron, Climax by Gaspar Noe, Zama by Lucrecia Martel, Ballad of Buster Scruggs, First Reformed, Isle of Dogs, Phantom Thread, The Wild Pear Tree by N.B. Ceylan, Faces Places by Agnes Varda, Arabian Nights by Miguel Gomes, The Favorite by Yorgos Lanthimos.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
fireflies, bioluminescence-related moments shine on me all the time.
