ABOUT ME

I'm a big, friendly giant who loves people and beautiful places. I like living a wandering lifestyle because of all the amazing people you meet a long the way. I love being an outdoor educator because it lets me share my love of the natural world with so many people in so many exciting ways. Canoe trips on northern rivers, kayaking wild whitewater or pristine rocky crags, there's no connection like the one people share on an adventure together.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is for living! It's a grand adventure and the people who make the places special. I'm an open person and I believe in sharing experiences with other people.

Music, Movies, and Books

All of them! I read constantly and watch tons of movies. I love music and live music is always best.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While living in Norway I climbed the svolvaer geita (geita means goat!) which is a 125m stand alone granite pillar in the mountains. It was June and the midnight sun was in full swing. I lead the final pitch and was the first one to stand on the summit. One of the coolest moments of my life. Standing on the narrow summit at midnight with the sun just at the horizon... Pretty sweet day.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like learning from humble people the best. I learned how to climb from a 60 year old mechanic who was an amazing climber but you would never know it to look at him. Dude was strong as hell! I've got lots of outdoor experience and have made a career out of teaching people how to canoe, camp, kayak, rock climb, ice climb or snowboard. I'm in no way a rock star but if you want to have some fun and are a beginner I love to share the passion.
