ABOUT ME

I am a travel journalist. Love dancing, photography, exploring new places and coming home to myself through meditation. A curious person, I am never short of questions. Forever in the quest for knowing myself and what life holds for me, I reach out for the unknown. Knowing that we all have a limited span, I want to make the most of every moment.

I was born in the green valleys of Assam and am currently residing in Mumbai. So I love getting out of the maddening race and chill where the air is pure, grass is clean to lie down and look at the stars. I love sharing experiences, trading stories and looking at things from a fresh perspective through the eyes of the people I meet.

Any lessons on Spanish and Salsa would be welcome as I am learning them right now :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Travel is not about where I go but how I see the world. I participate by sharing my experiences and take on life, helping people plan their travel in India, tips for safe travel and introducing the world to the warm Indian hospitality.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted and helped people plan their travels in New Delhi. Now that I have changed city, I want to make new friends. I had a lovely time in D.C and N.Y.C meeting the happening and active CS network there :) so far C.S has opened my world to a lot of wonderful friends who were strangers.

Murakami's books to Autobiography of a Yogi...am a voracious reader and any book that holds something new and original grabs my attention.

My choice of music depends on the kind of mood that I am in.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was camping beside a lake in the foothills of the Himalayas, the night progressively got chillier. To ward off the cold we wore all possible clothes that we could lay our hands on and went of to sleep with a prayer on our lips. I woke up with the dawn and when I stepped out of the tent, I saw that the entire lake had frozen and the beauty of it took my breath away. The vastness of the panorama, the singularity and stillness of the moment cannot be formalized in mere words.
