About Me

I was born in Catalonia (a region of Spain) but now I'm living in Irun, a small village in the border of Spain, near France. I live in a small flat with a flatmate and two cats: Tigre and Sultan.
I'm an openminded person and I love learning new things, I enjoy meeting new people and sharing, maybe different, but always interesting, points of view.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because a Couchsurfer friend couldn't place a couple of Couchsurfers in her new house, and asked me if I could place them. I thought that it could be a great experience despite of my small flat. So I create my CS account and spent some awesome days with the CS couple. Furthermore my parents are also couchsurfers, so I can say that I am a descendant of couchsurfers jejeje. Another reason for which I am Couchsurfing is to improve my English by chatting.

Interests

I try to express myself through my creativity: I love doing handmade things, like crochet, amigurumis, necklaces with different kinds of materials, customize clothes with scraps of other clothes with different patterns, and for example, the last motivation has been to paint round stones of the beach. I also like writing my thoughts and make up stories, reading books, and finding interesting information on the net. I am also very concerned about the earth, our bodies and our feed: I try to avoid eating transgenics and over-exploited animals.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite music include Punk, ska, reggae and electronic music, like drum and bass or hardtek. I also love hard metal like System of a Down, Rammstein, Slipknot, and so. Every style of music has its own moment, so it depends on the moment my brain asks me to hear one or another band.
Some movies I can say that leaved a mark on me are: The Cube, Requiem for a Dream, Quien engañó a Roger Rabbit and 21 gramos (for enumerate some of them). I prefer thrillers and films that makes you think rather than dramas or comic films.
Some books I liked a lot are: El psicoanalista, 1984, Un mundo feliz, La ladrona de libros, El pianista... And some thrillers like Post Mortem or Asfixia.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have done two amazing experiences: going to the Andes and making a tour from San Pedro de Atacama (Chile) to Uyuni (Bolivia) through the Andes and stay above 5000 meters over the level of the sea, experiencing by first hand the lack of oxygen, and visting the Salar de Uyuni, an enormous and amazing salt zone about 12000km2 of extension. And the second thing was to ascend the Toubkal, a 4000m mountain of Morocco.
But I want to do a lot of more amazing things, for example ascend an active volcano, see the Aurora Borealis, do a trekking in Nepal, and visit a lot of countries to know their different cultures.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I live in Irun in a small flat with a flatmate and two cats, Tigre and Sultan.
For Couchsurfing I can offer an air cushion in the hall of our house, because we live in a small flat with only two rooms (I'd sleeped in this air cushion when my family came and it's very confortable).
I can offer the rest of the house, of course, and I can show you the customs and habits of this zone. I can also do a walk with you through the beautiful mountains near, or do surf or bodyboard on the beach.
