PHILOSOPHY
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
First things first. What Couchsurfing is NOT for me: !!! Couchsurfing is NOT an alternative to Dating Apps! So please no trivial or obvious non-travel-related messages that are clearly far away from the basic idea of CS!!! NOT INTERESTED!
Now that i got this out of the way, we can move on to more enjoyable experiences. :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I started couchsurfing when I was living in Scotland. Back than it was mostly out of financial reasons. (Bear with the young volunteer-me I was back than.) But I quickly discovered that the benefit of Couchsurfing was not saving money but more about the people I got to know. It's about meeting strangers and learning again and again how connected everyone is, how at the root we're all the same - in very unique and exciting ways.
I just started hosting people. It has been lovely sharing my home with travelers and listening to everyones story. It is like traveling myself while sitting in my own kitchen with a nice cup of tea or a cold beer.
Note on the side: I am working weird shifts (including night shifts). So I won't be able to host that often.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
After my last travels I has to be seeing NORTHERN LIGHTS. I am still amazed and fascinated and feel kind of addicted to it now.
Another great experience was skydiving. It was just amazing to jump out of the plane into nothing, flying through clouds and rainbows.
Oh, and my sister and me organized a cake fight for my Mums 50th Birthday :D
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm more than happy to share any experiences I had so far. My fields of non-expertise but interests would be: Yoga, meditation, cooking, Tango, spiritual subjects, folding paper boats ;) maybe some knitting.
I'd love to learn different ways to whistle. :)
