ABOUT ME

I consider myself as a pretty calm and reserved person, even though I can become more volubile if the right conditions are assembled... I enjoy a good drink once in a while(as most students do), but only in social instances and only occasionnally. I'm a karate master (practiced it 15 years), and I like to think that made me a better person in all kinds of aspects: health, respect, selfcontrol, confidence, etc.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm an atheist. My God is humanity, its accomplishments and science.
I have a pretty religious mom though, so I understand and respect greatly people who go looking for other types of answers and I consider the search for spiritual satiety as a great and respectable quest. I think we all need a solid base to fonction in society and I believe that it is possible that this base be spiritual or scientific.
I do like to have a good argument once in a while with someone who doesn't think like me just to open my mind to other possibilities, though.
I'm a very curious guy and I live my life to learn about other cultures and travel; ingeneering is just a way to acquire the material ressources to do so.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now, I don't have much ressources to participate to this great project, but I would like to use its ressources untill I do, if people are kind enough to let me! :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I don't have much couchsurfing experience, but I've heard a lot about it from my friends and I'm very impatient to try!

Interests

I read a lot: literature classics, fantastic, science fiction, etc.
I love all kinds of music: house, electro, classic rock, etc.
I write.
I love to party and I'm a social drinker.
I like all kinds of movies: action, humor, fiction, but not horror...
I'm a history buff. I love to read on history.
I particularly like to travel, and Europe is my next goal.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: too numerous to name, as I am a cinephile.
Music: old school rock tunes from the 60s and 70s are my favorites, but I do like modern house and electro music as well as other types.
Books: history books, science fiction (star wars, etc), fantastic, etc

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm a karate black belt.

I did a double bachelor in 2 different universities.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a history buff and I'm sure I could teach some Europeans some things about their own history.

As a karate master and teacher, I'm sure I could teach some defence moves to those who are interested.

I consider myself as pretty much completely bilingual; I master the French and English languages to a fair level, so if anyone is interested in improving one or the other, I'd be glad to help!

On the other hand, I would like to improve my grasp on the Spanish and German languages, of which I only have a marginal knowledge.
